DREAMBONE
K9 VETERANS DAY

Despite the fact that dogs have served the United States military in nearly every war throughout history, National K9 Veterans Day had virtually no awareness. We helped Dreambone Dog Chews create a lasting symbol to recognize these heroes and raise funds to support the care of Military Working Dogs after returning home.

Contrary to popular opinion, dogs don’t just see in black and white. Instead, they view the world in shades of blue and yellow. So the flag all US Military Working Dogs have served under actually looks like this:

We created Old Glory in a dog’s view and unveiled it to the world at a special ceremony on K9 Veterans Day at the National WWI Museum in Kansas City.

At dog parks, we gave out custom bandanas and yard flags. A special AR experience allowed museum visitors to see the world through a dog’s eyes. Across the world, we encouraged everyone to fly this symbol on social media with a Facebook profile frame. The effort led to a microsite, selling flags to support K9 Veterans and Project K-9 Hero.
